Suppose you've settled in for all your Office's and you're going to diner with a long-awaited friend. You are suddenly called by your boss and told to look at the data stored on the Office network. You may also be asked to mail a summary of its data and how you can view the data stored on the Office computer immediately after that?

One option is to have data stored on a cloud based service such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. But sometimes it can be unsafe in such a case where Virtual Private Network (VPN) is needed, VPN is a private network that uses the public network (especially the Internet) to connect to a remote site or gather users.

In other words, VPN is the technology used to connect computers to the Internet or other intermediate networks. VPN protects data at very high volumes. Due to which data sent via VPN can be kept separate from access points of the intermediate network VPNs have the ability to connect to multiple networks at once.

Virtual point-to-point is established and VPN is created by using connections, virtual tunneling protocol or traffic encryption. VPN is not the first technology for remote connections. A few years ago, a Leased line was used to connect a commuter between multiple offices. The telecommunications company leased it to its customers.

Leased Line expands the company's private network and extends its geographical area. This connection form is Wide-Area-Network (WAN) for business. Leased Line Although reliable and secure, it is expensive. The Internet is more accessible today than ever before, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) develop faster and reliable services at a lower cost than the Leased Line

To take advantage of this, most businesses started using the new technology that uses the Internet connection instead of the leased line. Business is started through the establishment of Intranets, a private internal network designed for use by company employees only. With the addition of VPN, remote offices or employees can work from home to grow their business.

Using VPNs, they can access their company's Intranet when out of office. VPNs securely connect to the organization's geographically diverse office and create a smooth network. VPN technology uses Internet users to connect Proxy Servers to protect their identity and location.

VPN Client usually launches on your computer when you are connected to VPN. Instead of logging in, your computer exchanges a trusted key with a remote server. Once both curators verify each other's credibility, all your Internet communications are encrypted and hidden from the viewer.
