Leased Line expands the company's private network and extends its geographical area. This connection form is Wide-Area-Network (WAN) for business. Leased Line Although reliable and secure, it is expensive. The Internet is more accessible today than ever before, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) develop faster and reliable services at a lower cost than the Leased Line.
To take advantage of this, most businesses started using the new technology that uses the Internet connection instead of the leased line. Business is started through the establishment of Intranets, a private internal network designed for use by company employees only. With the addition of VPN, remote offices or employees can work from home to grow their business.
